Hello I have brought a new Cmm2 completed from https://www.rictech.nz/products/31/COLOUR-MAXIMITE-2 and time not saved when power removed with new battery installed. Also when using Tera term when i paste a program i get random characters. the first few lines are fine but if i copy a 6000 line of code its all messed up. Hope someone can help. Regards Conrad |

Re the Teraterm issue you may need to introduce a Transmit delay e.g 1ms/char and 50 msec/line These are in the Serial Port setup of Teraterm |

Hi romba6 Thank you for your reply. I have also been playing with Transmit delay e.g 1ms/char and 50 msec/line for a few days and have tried your suggestion and i still get some errors with missing or messed characters. Regards Conrad |

Use XMODEM rather than AUTOSAVE |

Hi matherp Thanks for your reply. I had thought of using xmodem and had tried xmodem to send .bmp files. If using Tera term to paste programs is broken with cmm2 then i will use xmodem. Thanks Conrad |

Hi Conrad, I have only Loaded programs by writing to the SD card in my pc. But as for the battery problem can you measure the voltage across the battery holder with the battery inserted? Maybe the battery holder is faulty or there is a short somewhere that flattens the battery.. Does the battery holder look like it’s soldered on both pads? Is the battery holder mounted the same orientation as the silkscreen on the pcb? It is not normal, I have found the time keeps relatively good time when powered off (in the vicinity of 5-10seconds per day) without any RTC trimming.. It is one of the things I test on all of the cmm2 I build. (Not 24hrs but several hours) Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

Hi bigmik Thanks for your reply. I am getting 3.08 volts across the battery. Not sure what happened but when i power the cmm2 off for 10 seconds the time and date is now saving. Regards Conrad |
