We've had some issues around SD cards with our various Maximites. This link to a recent Hackaday blog post might clear up some of them.

Thanks for that. My SD issues were related to R/W speed, but the decision to make the “conservative” timing option the default in the latest FW should help eliminate “Newbie Angst” if you are using a slower SD card :)

My 1GB card works perfectly. Less than 1% used too.
