Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Another little game I wrote for my grandkids to have fun with. You have probably played or at least heard of NIM. It has been around in one form or another for thousands of years. Basically it consists of some pits scratched into the dirt or sand with a few pebbles in each pit. Players take turns removing pebbles until none remain, with the last player to take a pebble either wins or loses, depending on whether you are playing a 'normal' or 'misere' game.

There's a bit more to the game, of course. The program includes instructions. You can play versus the computer or with two human players. You can play in 'normal' or 'misere' mode, and you can choose the number of pits and pebbles, or let the computer choose some random values for each.

Enjoy!
