Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi, im new here, my name is Nick, I'm from the UK, and design ship to shore link for LPG Tankers. I use a lot of micro's in my job and have used the STM32H7 chips before they were released..
I'm a little confused about this project. To get the source i went to Geffs page and asked nicely and got sent V1.5 source, seem like the current source is 5.4?
Also can't seem to fine the schematic anywhere, to for me to be useful in this project I would need both. As a hardware eng, i can see lots of changes i would like to make to further the project such as hdmi, a audio chip, ethernet and wifi and the chip has a SDcard interface but you are using SPI?
So my questions are:
1) is the source for the latest Version downloadable?
2) is the PCB and schematic Downloadable?
3) do you want help to further the project with hardware and firmware?
4) Why aren't you using the onboard USB bootloader to upgrade the firmware?
5) why are you using the SPI for SD card?

I think thats enough for my first post but i have lots more questions.
Many thanks for accepting me!!

I got the link I posted for the schematic etc from Geoff's web site page

It also says where to get the source and if I wanted it I'd try the link but if you already did (er, did you?) then I'd next try asking matherp

BTW there are existing threads where it's made clear that the hardware design is fixed, that incompatible variants are not wanted and won't be supported and so on - worth reading.

The licence for the software is tight and intended to prevent unwanted things.
