Hi Jim, Apologies for the off topic post, my boys saw a photo of your dog in one of the posts and they absolutely love it and want one. What breed is it? Thanks, Elia |

Hi Elia. No snark intended here, but there's a Private Messenger function where members can contact each other directly. It is buried away when using a mobile device though (tap "The Back Shed" graphic to find it). |

Not off topic at all. She spends a lot of time in the 'back shed' with me. Both our dogs are Cavoodles, a Cavalier - Poodle cross. They are very popular in Australia so getting very expensive. Our first ones were a lot more affordable 11 years ago. When one died 2 years ago, we had to get a replacement of the same breed. That is the one in my avatar. This photo was last Christmas. I've been hanging around here for about four years now but the topic has never gotten around to dogs before. I grew up on a dairy farm during WW II with a dozen dogs and two dozen Percheron horses for company. I worked at training a total of 962 guide dogs for the blind under the auspices of the original SEEING EYE for 10 years while in various schools. In the last eight years I have given up having dogs around, it's just too much work and I'm too old, but, in prior years, I had a succession of slightly larger dogs ..... |

and then, later, skinnier dogs ..... and much later more skinny dogs and a beauty contest winner in my old age ..... If I now include Mrs. Connecticut with my dogs I must still be alive. Paul in NY |

Hi Jim, appreciate the reply, that breed is expensive in the UK as well! My boys will be very happy to get one though. Thanks everyone for sharing photos of your dogs and once more apologies for posting this. I was looking for the private messaging button but elk1984 pointed out it is hidden if using a mobile device, now I know :D Kind Regards, Elia |
