Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

To keep my SD files safe, I like to sync them regulaly to a cloud service.  When I swap the card into my PC, I often edit on the PC copy resources on etc. but cannot do a simple copy card etc. as I might have updated the card copy, or the PC copy.

This tip for Windows 10 to use Microsoft SyncToy is the perfect solution for my needs - and it's free.  It compares two folders and synchronises both irrespective of which has changed (I rarely edit source on the CMM2 and on the PC copy at the same time).

I hope this helps anyone else looking for a similar solution.

synctoy is no longer supported by microsoft. im surprised its even running in windows 10 are you using compatibility mode?

what you really need is rsync however thats a cli program and i don't think theres a version for windows?

second copy by centered systems is always brought up i have never used this program but i know lots of people who do. windows is not my primary computing device so i use rsync for this type of stuff.

for a free solution check out unison https://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/

No, it's running natively.  I was wondering about the very 1990s style "Wyse for Windows" install program
