Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all,

I'm trying to get my Silicon Chip MM+ LCD Backpack to work with an ILI9488(3.5") display and I get an error "Touch hardware failure".
- it occurs when I tap the second target in GUI Calibrate (GUI Test LCDPanel is fine)
- I've tried two 3.5" displays, each of which work on an SC LCD Backpack v3 (uses a  MM170)
(- I've retried a 2.8" ILI9341 display which works OK)
- MM+ Basic V5.05.02
- MM.Startup has "ILI9488 2, 23, 29, 1" and I'm using the MM+ version.
- I've done Option Touch 1,3 (which was OK for my 2.8" ILI9341 displays).

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Andrew

Tony,

Six posts and you have already been nominated for "Genius Of The Year" (2020).
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yes I had read it - but it hadn't sunk in (properly).

It took a few attempts (getting the "Restart the Micromite" right) but with the SDO(MISO) pin not connected it works!
Touch calibrates and the SD card works (so now all I have to do is work out the different pins for MM vs MM+).

Thanks again,

Andrew
