Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

At

Demo X Video

Demo X has an excellent demo of the CMM2. I'm using MMBasic 5.06.00b5.
When I run his demo, I get some lockups and when it does run through, I get
an index out of bounds in DEMO_RACING.INC line 238.

Has anyone else run this combination of MMBasic and this demo successfully?

Fails for me too using 5.06.00b4.

Not an ideal fix but if you change line 209 to
speed=975
then it runs without the "Index out of bounds" error. Seems to be because the newer firmware is faster. Hopefully Mauro can figure out a proper fix because this change messes up the draw timing at the bottom of the screen slightly. Maybe a number slightly larger than 975 would be better. (Original value is 1000)

Lock-ups could be due to a less than ideal SD card.

Even with the FPS capping, the Demo X blows out but I found another way to fix this definitively (as I fixed it in the past but the problem comes back again).

I will fix it this weekend and will upload to GitHub.

The new version will run more smoothly and will use some commands of the new firmware to make some effects more impressive.

It will be called Demo X+, as the differences will be really perceptive.
