Presumably that drone must have been streaming the 4k to remote recorder in case it went down in the lava (a significant risk and fairly likely I would have thought).

There was more than one drone destroyed while making that footage. The final product is the work of careful editing to combine the transmissions of several drones.

It didn't do it any good

I don't suppose you can stream 4K video from a drone given the required bandwidth but maybe?
