Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have a new version of MMBasic for the Micromite, Micromite Plus and the Windows/DOS version.  It is Ver 5.05.04 and you can download it from here: http://geoffg.net/micromite.html   (scroll to the bottom of the page)

This is a minor update that fixes some trivial but annoying bugs.  Normally I wait for a serious issue to be fixed before releasing a new version but it has been almost a year since the last release and I thought it worth releasing this version to completely clear the bug list.  Thankfully serious bugs are becoming increasingly rare.

This version adds one new feature which will be appreciated by users who need to run the Micromite off a battery.  Now the Micromite can run at a clock speed as low as 0.5MHz which reduces the power consumption to 1mA.  This has a number of limitations so check the Manual and/or Change Log for the details.

I just downloaded again and this time used the Windows file manager (normally don't use that) and clicked on the ZIP, everything is there and can be copied straight out as normal, Window 10-PRO 64, every current update including the one that adds the Stupid Weather and News feed icon on the task bar (removed).

Strange?

Same issue with W10 inbuilt zip tool. 7Zip also fails to extract same files, it appears to work but the files are zero bytes.

good work geoff     i hope you have been keeping well!

unfortunately am having the same problems as others with the archive being corrupt. using linux here, have tried clearing the browser cache.

btw, do you maintain a list of past 'suggested additions'? i've made a few over the years - some have happened, others have not. it would be good to know (a) what once have been considered, (b) what ones have been included, and (c) what ones have been rejected. just to avoid making the same suggestions repeatedly.

the last one i remember making, a year or so back, was for pulsein to be extended to collect a sequence of pulse lengths into an array for decoding wireless remote control signals.

cheers,
rob   :-)

@robert.rozee "the last one i remember making, a year or so back, was for pulsein to be extended to collect a sequence of pulse lengths into an array for decoding wireless remote control signals."
That would also be useful for decoding the DHT11 temp & humidity sensor. There may be other devices that use variations of PWM encoding that could use it.

MM50504 won't extract in Win XP either, so I don't think it's W10 problem.

W10 download (edge), extract -> errors
Copy downloaded file to linux PC, Gnome Archive Manager -> error

Extracted files : both hex files have size 0, docs in folders seem OK.

@twofingers: did you check filesizes OK ?

Well, this is interesting, I just downloaded the ZIP (full version) again, file sizes are all ok BUT some of the PDF and Hex files are now throwing an error WT?

Error: Invalid size or checksum or unsupported compression format.

File sizes are ok in the ZIP but extract to 0 bytes because the extraction never really completes with 7-Zip file manager.

Strange that 2 pdf files are fine and 3 others aren't (Header Error)
.
