  Quote  /dev/sdb1 is the partition path - allows fs checking only.
/dev/sdb is the disk hardware for bad sector checking.


D'OH!

I've spent too much time inside Windoze......

I fecking knew that too, as all my Puppy servers are /dev/sda1 etc - the first partition on the sda drive, and other volumes have other partitions like sda1, sda2, sda3 etc....

Should have spotted that!
