You can buy gender-changers for only a buck or two....
That will turn the 15pin male socket, to a 15pin female like you want.
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

We were all young and did mistakes back then. And nothing is wrong in sex when both, ehhhh all participants agree.

"Gender mender" does the trick, though I don't think I've used one in 25 years.

Have you tried swapping pins 2 and 3 ?..
RS232 general advice from the 80's
(swaps rx and tx pins, very often made it work ! )
plus ca change..
Try swapping 2 and 3 over

Was completely wrong connector ( pins instead of holes )
