Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Production line is dead, company in a panic. I'm expected to pull something out of my posterior.

THIS is why we use an Android device on the front end. They could've simply downloaded the app on to any available phone and they would've been up and running in minutes.

No, the user-interface is merely a terminal for data input/output. The actual machine control is tucked away inside the electrical cabinet. The user-interface always receives the most abuse and accounts for the most downtime and yet most of us have the most powerful user-interface, ever created in our pockets and that is mainly utilised for distributing cat/dog pictures or what we had for breakfast

I don't think deliberate. The first report I received was about one of the actuators not working. I suspect the operator thought that the touch screen was like a button that needed pushing harder

you been bugging my house?

I illustrated how toasty the house was at 19C, bringing it up from 16c when we got home one day (coz the heating is either on/off). poor old mrs. boing had a strange look on her face - a mixture of confusion and rage as i went to get the spare duvet for the couch
