Yes that should work OK. Your CMM2 already has an SD card, it should arrive tomorrow. Edited 2022-03-03 06:38 by palcal "It is better to be ignorant and ask a stupid question than to be plain Stupid and not ask at all" |

SD card in full size is anything but obsolete. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Agreed. Not sure where he is getting that information.... Perhaps he was referring to the older lower-capacity ones - 2GB or less. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

My understanding is that the compatibility issue is the other way around. Older equipment does not support any SD cards larger than 2GB, but newer equipment does support small cards. There is a more recent issue with some "middle aged" equipment not supporting cards above 32GB. A very old 128MB (yes MB) card I have works well on all the Mites and all computers, new or old. |

I use loads of full SD cards and the Micros in adapters and have never had a problem with them. Got a 256 Gb card for my tablet the other week so won't run out of storage in that for a while. My daughter works for an electronics retailer and get s them so cheap for me now I would not have even thought they would be so inexpensive 10 years ago even joking around. 16Gb or less is getting hard to find. Mainly I get 32 Gb cards now and use them LIKE USB sticks because the cards are Cheaper. I also use the cards as backup for important info as well. People say they may not work in time but I have CF cards over 10 YO that have always been reliable. The CF cards are harder to find and much more exy now. |
