hey I'm just throwing it out there because I'm a full on Newbie Idiot, But any ideas on adding a 6580 or 6581 Sid chip to a Picomite or Maximize for sound synth ? like I say I'm a Full on nut job going inside thinking how much you get to of a $4 board vs. what my C64 cost when I was a kid and what can be done with it I may be Vulgar, but , while I'm poor, I'm Industrious, Honest, and trustworthy! There is a demo on here for the CMM2 that simulates a number of old-school synthesizers chips quite well including the SID. Check it out and a lot more on a software repository for the CMM3 https://cmm2.fun/listAuthor.php?id=2 The Progam is called PSGmini and show how the CMM2 hardware is very capable of producing rather advanced sound. They call me Shai-Hulud (The maker) |

There is a SID emulator included in the Companion Would be cool if this were resurrected but maybe with the Picomite. I have all the files. Edit: Instructables Craig Edited 2022-04-02 18:45 by Tinine |
