I just discovered something that's been irking me for some time. Maybe I'm the last to know but it was a revelation. When using Teraterm, the numeric keypad including the extra cursor keys, numlock, home and end keys don't work right. The most frustrating is numlock- it sends a command that closes the editor. The default setting for the keyboard in Teraterm is a VT100 terminal. If you go into the directory and find keyboard.cnf- change the following settings in the VT Section and voila. It acts sensibly.

[VT numeric keypad]

Num0=off
Num1=off
Num2=off
Num3=off
Num4=off
Num5=off
Num6=off
Num7=off
Num8=off
Num9=off
NumMinus=off
NumComma=off
NumPeriod=off
NumEnter=off
PF1=off
PF2=off
PF3=off
PF4=off

I use excel a lot and use the numpad and cursor and its allways a muscle memory fight when I used the editor in Micromite.

There is a filed called PCKeybd101.cnf but I couldn't get it to work, the above worked for me. Like most modern software, Teraterm is infinite redefinable, macroable, etc, etc. This is all I needed.
