Due to severe drought conditions in China, many of the major semiconductor manufacturers are shutting down production until water is widely available again.
We were hard hit enough by the pandemic and now this blow.  The price of electronic devices is going to go through the roof for a while if they're available at all.

My first thought was:" It's all about politics" but then I read an article stating that tsmc, the famous tainwanese chip producer, needs 150.000 tonnes of water every day!

It's time that all countries produce their own chips & energy.
