This video series is really quite interesting.

What I like about these videos, is the full description of everything he's doing at each step, and the building up of the "Card" on breadboards using discrete logic chips, wire links, and checking signals on the DSO.

PART ONE (concept and build)

PART TWO (drawing to the screen)

PART THREE (making it better)

PART FOUR (Installing it!)

They are all quite long videos, so perhaps get yourself a few drinks and nibbles for yourself while you watch them.
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

I watched these when they aired. Liked these a lot!
I wish to build similar card, but did not prepare myself yet. )

Gee....his channel has a whole HEAP of technical videos.

He probably has just discovered microprocessors.
He's now cleaning up 3,738,345 wire links, 743 ICs, 12 crystals and ONE button
off 127 bread-boards (all cheap & available on eBay!!!!)
