My picomite connected usb to win and then disconnected in a loop.
I disconnected all wiring and re flashed mmbasic but still the same.
I used https://geoffg.net/Downloads/picomite/Clear_Flash.uf2 then re flashed mmbasic
and now all is fine, just had to rewire and configure lcd panel.
What causes this?

That sort of thing is often related to the USB cable or connectors.
Running from an unpowered USB hub may do it too.
Check the 5V and 3V3 voltages.

I checked the wiring and it was ok.
Just a usb lead to picomite and I tried a few to just picomite, reflashed mmbasic but same connecting and disconnecting repeatedly. The reset code then reflash mmb and it all works fine.
There was nothing else I could think to do. Anyone had this problem?

Did you reflash the same version of MMBASIC that was in it before the problem, or a different one?
Just curious...

It's likely to do with saved OPTIONs across reflashes.

Could also be iffy power.

Don't dwell on it, just use clear and move on.

I had this problem when connecting the pico via a USB hub. Windows 11, though. Same USB cable connected to a USB port in the PC directly worked. For all other things, the USB hub works just fine. Puzzling ...

I can only think it was a lcd wiring problem and some how it messed up something,
lots of wires for lcd, touch and sd card.
It all works ok now but was a problem with no way out other than flash reset then flash firmware. odd. Mmedit crashed but ok with this picomite now.
