Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hey folks, i'm "the new" one. Not only new with MMBasic, but even on microcontrollers. Well, okay, i did some really small projects on Arduino and just started Pi Pico because of a hint to MMBasic. Very interresting fact. In the late 1980s i had an amstrad cpc and the BASIC looks similar to MMBasic. Okay, i will try to explain my "problem". I own a 73 beetle and want to swap the OEM fuel gauge to a TFT display, with multiple functions. The "normal" functions are not the problem, but the fuel gauge in "original style" and the analog rpm gauge. "Static" (pictures only) everything is fine, but how works animating? Pi Pico with MMBasic running and 2.4" TFT with SD-slot, from where the pic comes from. The needle should be animated acoording the filling level, of course ;-) This is the plan for the "combo view". On the outer circle an analog rpm gauge and "health data" bottom, middle. And finally, only health data and speed (GPS). This is only a test. I found this clip on youtube: Clip But unfortunately there is no describtion of the code. I'm very interessted how to get a kind of the shown photorealistic analog gauges. Thanks in advance for helping a beginner ;-) "Stevie" from Germany Edited 2022-12-03 07:43 by steview_de |
