I have three Atmel 89S52 24MHz processors in a tube (apparently NOS) if anyone wants them.
Data sheet available Here

These are not exactly brilliant by today's standards but may be of historical interest to someone.

(from data sheet)

• Power-off Flag

Shame.. I stopped using 8051's way back. As they are 'S' types they can be programmed a lot easier..
Where in Blighty are you?

I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous

I'm close to Preston, Lancashire.

They appear to be able to be programmed serially as SPI slaves. I've no idea how I obtained them, they were either given to me in a batch of stuff or I've picked them up for peanuts at a radio rally. I certainly wouldn't have ordered them myself.

I'm hardly ever up that way.. Once when I was working at the ferry port. But I'm not far in Oldham..
Having said that, I don't really know what I'd do with them. I normally program Pic's nowadays.

I bet if you dig down three or four inches the A6 will still have the cobbles underneath LOL..
