Quite interesting to see what others are using the Pico modules for! PicoGUS ISA sound card for retro gaming.... Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

@ Mick - perhaps they only had a W on-hand. As far as I can see from the video, they are not using the WiFi ability at all, so a standard Pico module would probably also work fine. @ Plasmamac - Nice idea, but I don't know that that would ever work. I expect the MMBASIC interpreter overhead would make it too slow to talk to the ISA bus, which I think runs at about 8MHz, so the Pico is PROBABLY using the PIO's and C to be able to talk to the PC ISA bus. I may be wrong, but I don't think MMBASIC would be fast enough for this kind of task. ![]() Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
