Rather interesting!!! ![]() LINK... Impressive though it is, the very thought of losing 1.6Pb of data if(and when!) the disc fails for some reason.......well - not that nice a thought, but the media seems to be pretty robust according to the video! Yes! Very interesting! But remember, the whole reason you are worried about that is because hard disks fail regularly and cause the user so much pain. If you have a Petabyte of data to protect, you back it up. You very possibly put it in a mirrored storage system to both protect the data but to also provide resiliency of the data. Systems that can really use a Petabyte of data are going to have IT staff managing that data. |
