My Amiga 2000 is the only thing that I have that has an ISA slot (I think, it's hard to keep track of all of the hardware).

I think I threw my last ISA bus motherboard quite a long time ago. IIRC it had a V20 CPU but I can't remember if it had any RAM.

On the PicoGUS, the Pico does a great job emulating a Gravis Ultrasound and other sound cards, and allowing a modern Xbox Gamepad controller to emulate an old joystick for DOS games. https://picog.us

Amazing what people are using the Pico for.  Very clever device for the price!  
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

I recently built one of Michael Wessel's PicoRAM 6116 "RAM emulators" for my MT-80Z "The Fox" trainer (basically a dressed up MPF-1B "MicroProfessor") that uses a Pico.

Be advised that I could of put in a jumper to the Z80 chip which would have held the CPU in reset for me while loading the program. Not a big deal, but it makes things easier.


In any case, it is nice not having to deal with cassette tapes. :)

Perhaps I should have a go at making a PicoMite act as an old Atari 8-bit disk-drive for loading and saving classic games etc off an SD card.

Nah, that's already been done by other people, and by Atari themselves(the retro game console with a whole heap of built-in games).

But the SIO port was just standard serial @ 38k4 from what I remember, so well within the abilities of the Pico chip....
