Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Elite, Ian Bell has released the source code for the abandoned Elite 2 (on 8-bits) project.

To be fair, I'm not sure how useful it is (or what state of completeness it was in when abandoned in favour of 16-bit versions), but some amazing person has documented the source to the original Elite - and it is a fascinating read through.

Elite is on my long list of programs I'm currently writing for the CMM2, but I've got to be honest, I tend to do a round robin on the projects, a week on one, a week on the next and so forth - as the notion/ideas take me. So it might never see the light of day - but I am having fun with the 3D stuff. It would be interesting to see what variations other people here can come up with?

nice
Also interesting and the computing power of the Pico is certainly up to the task: Prince-of-Persia-Apple-II published by the original author.
Cheers
