Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

12V barrel jack power and the output seems pretty immune from noise on the supply. Quoted as 15W per channel. Take that with a pinch of salt but still plenty of oomph with no obvious distortion. 3.5mm stereo jack input and screw terminals for the speakers. Works like a treat on the pico using volhout's magic filter. This is the module and here is the stl for the box 52mm x 48mm x 30mm ampbox.zip Edited 2024-11-02 22:43 by matherp |

Extortionate price, of course. :) Your ears will love you if you stick to a maximum of 8W per channel into 8Ω with a 12V supply, giving 0.1% THD. That is soddin' loud in the average living room though. :) Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

Look at AliExpress for even cheaper prices. Already seen under 3 Euro including shipping costs. Has excellent specifications. Power at 12V DC 5W 8Ω --> THD+N=0.1% 8W 8Ω --> THD+N=1.0% 10W 8Ω --> THD+N=10% 15W 4Ω --> THD+N=0.1% Efficiency: >90% It says here that it is a 2x10W with this configuration and if a larger heat sink is used, 2x15W. Also nice to use the extra connections such as mute and the power switch. Jan. |
