Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Construction pack.zip This might be the final PicoGAME as we know it. Probably the last one to have the DE9 connector on it anyway as everything is moving towards USB. This one uses the PGA2350 too, which might be handy if you already have one and it's in danger of being shoved into a drawer! Video is standard 16-colour VGA Audio uses the VS1053 codec module with headphone output. Line output can be added if required. It's pretty good on connectivity: One Atari joystick (with a couple of extra buttons) Two analogue inputs, or an analogue joystick (not tested) NES / SNES controller (two with an adapter & software changes) One or two I2C controllers (you'll need adapters of some sort) One COM port or transparent RF COM port Seventeen GPIO pins, seven of which can be ADC Four USB-A ports from an internal hub It fits the same enclosure as matherp's new "reference design". The front and rear panels are on a single board and will need cutting. This is to save money. Unfortunately both boards are more than 100mm long so won't be at JLCPCB's special offer price. Hi Mick, The H4 jumper is a bit awkward. Looks like you can short 3V3 and GND with it. Maybe swap pins 2 and 3 will make it monkey proof. I am impressed how many options there are with this board. You really put everything in it. And kept compatibility with the PicoGameVGA 1 design for portA. Nice job Mick. Are you building one ? You could, but the pins are in the same order as those on the WS LEDs that I have - it's a front panel LED connector. H4 is not specified to have a jumper supplied with it (in fact there shouldn't be jumpers on any Hx, only on Jx). Surprise... U7 is SMT. I would have thought you avoid SMT.... TO92 unobtainable ? Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

Note that Pimoroni are out of stock of all modules with the RP2350B processor. I suspect they have used up their development allocation so until the silicon becomes widely available I wouldn't expect to see any new stock. |

I couldn't find a TO92. :( I don't know if they are still available from somewhere. I didn't want to use SMT. However, J9 will let you play as anything can be put between the AV and GND pins. :) Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

Thanks Peter. That'll slow down the interest in this. lol Mind you, I think it may have some appeal to those who have bought a PGA2350 and discovered that HDMI doesn't work on it. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

Maybe in the new chips they fixed the IO pad issue. Then the PGA wpuld be great for the logic analyzer. More channels. Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |
