Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello All,
Are there still guys here who know about the SC/MP from Elektor 1979 and have a lot of memories about this processor?
I found an interesting article on the net from the late Karin Orton about an emulator for the SC/MP in a PIC chip. I build one and have a lot fun with it. Here a picture

of my PCB. The SC/MP was my first computer I build. So I have a lot of memories about this. The PIC16F877 is used for a lot of SC/MP emulators. (NIBL BASIC interpreter and the MK14) The great fun about this is that the timing is very accurate for a SC/MP 2 (INS600) at 4Mhz. I've modified the NIBL emulator software in  that way that it emulates the halt-reset function of the Elektor SC/MP computer.
Search on Karin Orton and SC/MP on the internet and you find a lot of information.
Greetings,
Nick de pe1goo
