Hi Pimoroni has a new device they call Presto. It is not inexpensive but I was interested and so I got it yesterday. It's well-made, sits nicely on my desk. It runs on a RP2350B and has a beautiful 480x480 display, WiFi and backlighting. It ships with MicroPython and a number of nice examples. I had hoped to convert it to MMBasic but I was too greedy and ordered before looking at the circuit diagrams ... It seems to use an 18bit parallel RGB interfacce with VSYNC/HSYNC signals (?) and appears to make use of the second core and PIO(s) to talk to the display - that's at least what I am getting from the terminal output while running MicroPython examples. Well, too bad. Cheers Thomas |
