Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

If you are on a road trip and decide to bring hard boiled eggs for a snack:

#1) Be sure to boil them
#2) Don't break them on your knee in case of step #1 failure.

Man, and I'm 140 miles away from home.

😂🤣

Its hard to boil eggs. They still look the same after such treatment, never coming out of there shell. No eggsplosion, nothing. Eggspecially hiding.

Egg boiling tip.
Fresh egg in hand, observe 'blunt end', hold carefully, with fine tip knife, tap a small hole into blunt shell centre. 1-2mm plenty, it won't break. You've just opened the natural air bubble to atmosphere as you gently put in boiling water to boil eggspertly. 1. Prevents cracking during boil & 2. Shows after boiling it was!!!!!!!!! Ye-ha

Egg spill Cleaning tip.
Liquid egg is pure protein, therefore always wash what it gets on with "COLD" water only, no soap needed. Not only does it wash away easy, but also leaves no odor as it dilutes quite well. Even rinse any cooked egg away with cold before washing utensils. Exactly same for any blood spill even dried on blood. Always proteins = 'cold water'. Simples.

Here on the forum we handle all life's eggspert disasters in style.

It is very easy to distinguish between boiled and unboiled eggs: if you spin them like a top, boiled eggs will rotate for a long time because they have a solid mass. An unboiled egg, on the other hand, will come to a standstill after just a few turns.
