Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Which GPS module is best supported by PicoMite/WebMite?

I'm not sure about "best supported" but I like the Ublox or V.KEL VK2828U7G5LF.  Cheap (US$6), high performance and works well in my tests.

As the MMBasic interpreter just uses some of the more basic NMEA records (ex manual: The sentences interpreted are GPRMC, GNRMC,GPGGA and GNGGA) for the GPS and thus GNSS networks, any GPS receiver supporting this formats should do. Setting up the receiver for e.g. including/excluding certain networks, serial line format and speed must be done extra if needed. You should consult the manual, but the receivers sold commonly should work right off the shelve (the default baud rate my be a point to care about). And the actual receivers are cheap and are incredible performers. They get a sat-fix in situations where my (older) Garmin GPS devices not even come close to fix if they see a satellite at all. Recently purchased a uBlox Neo-N8M, perfect ...

There are certainly differences with the receivers themselves. Some have integrated antennas, some have external ones, some have both, some are more sensitive then others and that all comes for a price. So it is up to you deciding on the requirements you have ...
