Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

OK, I figure its only a matter of time before we start to see some handy cheat sheets for the Maximite, so here's one to get started. Its a screen layout for the VGA output. Basically a bit of graph paper you can print out and draw your screen layout on before you start writing the program.

I'll do up one for the composite output at a later date.

When using the locate command to position text, remember it works differently from the old BASIC locate command. The Maximite's locate works like

LOCATE X,Y

where X and Y are pixels, from the top left corner. If you then PRINT, the first character will start to the right/underneath this point. You can position text in pixel steps, unlike the old BASIC where you could only position text on the standard text rows and columns.

Reminds me of the one I did for my VZ200 about 30 years ago.

Hehe,

those graph papers were included in the manuals for the Tandy Colour Computer, but I remember doing them for my DREAM 6800. Ah, the memories....

OK then,
this is NOT a competition but I've attached today's entry of a 800x600 VGA grid. It should open to an Excel file.
Please feel free to enhance/fix it and submit it back here.
