when i use setpin "setpin 1,1"..then print that pin i am getting voltages from point 8 of a volt to 2point 5 volts nothing connected to i/o at all should this be so erratic ...thank you....

technicians do it with least resistance

The inputs tend to float a bit if there is no termination. Try putting a 10K resistor to ground, and see if it fixes this.
