Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all,
I've just made a start to write an MMBASIC Tutorial, based on Geoff's manual. I'm of the opinion that examples are needed especially for some of the more esoteric commands. Some of us are probably quite rusty when it comes to programming in BASIC.
I would welcome your comments and input; short example code would be great.
I will make the end result available as PDF.
Regards,

Great idea Bob!
You could scan the little anatomic computer figures from the Color Computer manual and put them in too! :)

Well, name a command or function and see what happens. I notice there was an innovative answer about using interrupts to create an on-off cycle on a pin.
There is obviously a lot of experience out there from a generation that doesn't mind giving time to help others.
I know I'm drooling over my zimmer frame about the fun to be had with this.
So name a command, any command....My mind is aglow with whirling, transient nodes of thought careening through a cosmic vapor of invention.

Well, you could pick any of the MMBASIC functions from page 14 and following of the MM Manual. What I'd like is very short programme, say up to 10 lines to show how the function works.
