Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I mentioned this before in a different post but people might have missed it.
Geoff Graham's circuit for the LCD display is not 100% correct. Maximite pins 13, 14, 15, 16 should go to the LCD pins 11(D4), 12(D5), 13(D6), 14(D7). Check your LCD data sheet. Also be very careful with the pins for the LCD supply rail. Pins 1 & 2 are usually the supply but on some displays they are reversed. The software seems to be okay. If you get zibberish on the display you might need to add a 1ms delay just before you do the GOSUB 12000 or just before line 11120, i.e. after the LCD has been initialised.

I've done a bit of quick testing and sometimes a 1ms delay wasn't enough for my DSE Z4172 unit. 2ms seems good so far.

Also, now I can write to the LCD screen, I can actually answer your question from another post: It takes 27ms to initialise the LCD, and 56ms to write the two lines to the LCD.

Geoff has corrected the error in the circuit for the LCD display. It's in the new version in the library V1.4
Thanks Geoff
