Is a DIY evaluation board, designed for AVR, PIC(including PICAXE), MSP (and I may add 8051 compatibles) microcontrollers. It have a ZIF 40-pin socket which is not physically connected to the PCB traces. Connections between microcontroller, power and peripherals are made with wires with female connectors on both ends.
