Is a DIY evaluation board, designed for AVR, PIC(including PICAXE), MSP (and I may add 8051 compatibles) microcontrollers. It have a ZIF 40-pin socket which is not physically connected to the PCB traces. Connections between microcontroller, power and peripherals are made with wires with female connectors on both ends. The only SMD component (although easy to solder) is MCP2200 from Microchip used as USB2Serial adapter.
