Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I realise that this forum is supposed to be micro controller projects but...
Perhaps we need a library of practical MaxiMite projects (unless there is one and I'm missing it?) so that things don't get lost in pages of not really pertinent posts??
Things like:
Tracking solar controllers,
Function generator/frequency counters,
Camper/caravan monitors,
OBD automotive monitoring,
etc.
I was thinking along the lines of similar to the MM software library

Often it comes down to how well the project is presented, if its done as a A-Z article then Glenn will often pick it up for a main forum page article.
If its a bodgie description of a project then it wont make the front page, often its up to the designer where its displayed on the forum.
Hint... some good photos of stages in the article is worth a thousand words for a front page article.
Hint #2.... construct the article as word text with a "photo 1" etc text line where the photos are inserted, and make a separate file for the photos, this is because should Glenn like to do a front page article from the original post, he also needs to reassemble the article for the front page, if you design it with understanding then Glenn can simply ask for the files in a email and produce a front page article very easy.
We need to understand Glenn has limited time and any way we can make it easy for him makes a better forum.
The other option is to use the blog system Glenn had suggested before and link it back to the forum.
It would be nice to have as Mobi and myself created on another forum a "Library" section where a post can be made and locked from comments so it dont become corrupt with dribble, although this has been suggested several times in every forum topic and has been not a easy task for Glenn it add and supervise.
