Hi Fellas,

I received an email from DX.COM and this PRODUCT was highlighted, it looks interesting (worth watching the short video although it doesnt show the details I would have preferred to see)

Has anyone actually bought one or seen one? I think this is just screaming for a few stepper motors and a Maximite to control it all.

PS. It is $5.30 cheaper if you buy direct from their HK site but then it might take 2 months to arrive.

I have one! I am not sure it is the exact same one.
I bought mine here.
The price is $96.98!
It is a cheap copy of this.

It works great for light wood work.
Of course it is not high quality, it is acceptable.
I make parts slightly larger and get the precision by sanding.
Adding steppers was the idea when i bought it, the modifications to do that however are extensive and the material is not very precise to begin with. Something you really going to notice when using steppers.

Thanks for that and a great price from Hobby King, I bought my last solder station from them..

Thanks for the feed back on quality... It is as I feared by the sounds, cheap price = cheap quality.

Yes I agree, you need a certain amount of precision if you want any repeatability.
