The normal battery with 1307 RTC's etc, is the 2032 cell, but the CG board uses a much smaller battery. What is the expected lifespan of this smaller battery over the ten years or so expected on the 2032 cell? IT IS NOT A PROBLEM FOR ME - I am just curious as to the difference in lifespan between the two cells. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Graeme, what is the battery code used in the CGColorMax1? Plug in the battery code into Wikipedia and you can find out its capacity. You can then compare it to the CR2032. It will give you an idea of the batteries capability relative to the CR2032. The biggest factor in battery life is the time that the CGCM is powered off. I believe that the battery is not used when the machine is powered on. After all of the above you may be able to make a guess about the battery life. Bob |
