This one is interesting. chdir .. from the root generates this error. I discovered it when I was trying to switch to the root, when I forgot I was already there! ![]() However, the error message threw me for a while, until I remembered that I WAS already in the root, so could ignore the message, but I would have thought that a chdir .. at the root would just have given me a > prompt on the next line. Does not bother ME, but thought I would mention it. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

I have had my B/W maximite for a few years now, I am just getting back into it I am having problems with unable to read sd card I have double checked all conns for O/C and shorts. I put the scope on the clock pulse output at the card and there is nothing .Everything else is working fine. I replaced the chip a long time ago and it has worked since then . I suspect I overheated something as I had a few problems. My question is can I use the keyboard clock pulse at pin 54 or alternatively knock up a divider from the Chrystal . I imagine that the frequency and voltage needs to be specific . I will change the chip if I have to thanks in advance. Jeff |

No, the clock needs to be generated by the SPI peripheral in the PIC3 - you cannot synthesise it. Perhaps you did not solder that pin correctly. It should generate an error as you are trying to go up from root and there is no parent directory to go to. However, I agree that the message is confusing. Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |
