Hi CG,

As a topic of discussion, how many people are making use of the sea-of-holes?

In my own case, I use and re-use the CGCMM2 for different projects as fancy takes me thus I don't really want to screw up the motherboard with soldered and re-soldered test circuitry.

Instead, I use Android shields atA$4.95 each from Jaycar or even some home grown veroboard ones for testing stuff.

To that end, would you consider an additional Android style header in the sea-of-holes area that brings out the original MM pins, even an option via jumper to bring out rs-232, Can, etc?

This then retains the integrity of the original MM ( and the CMM) but allows unlimited extensibility for customisation - joys sticks, etc, etc.

Just some ideas for discussion.

Regards, Doug.

So more than just the Arduino header that is already there?

Adding another would reduce the size of the sea-of-holes considerably.

Yep,

I was thinking about a second arduino format shield footprint in place of the sea of holes except that it could have the original MM pins available to it.

Just an idea and it could well be that it may not suit others but I was interested to hear if anyone else thought it could be usefull?

Cheers, Doug.

To keep flexibility Panky why not look at a side by side arduino board that would duplicate the existing arduino sockets and provide another set above the SOH?
