Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

G'day Guy's,
Last night I started in Sprint Layout 5 designing a setup for the smd 44 pin uMite. Going off WW's first idea with having the smd chip at 45 degrees and going with the 22 pin headers each side will make for a nice small compact board that can easily milled in a cnc.
Now as the console pins on the 44 pin chip are so close to the header no way can I bring traces out and my idea is for a stackable setup where only the pins one needs can be used for the top board. For programming I do have a 5 lead jumper setup so that can also be used for console use.
I am going to make my first stacked board with a 20x4 lcd and 4x4 keypad and use the IR to communicate with the other modules I'll make.
Now I'm not sure how many members use sprint layout and I can upload the .lay files so others can use and expand at will.
Cheers Bryan

I used Sprint Layout. I used to use Layout 4, but just recently upgraded to Layout 6.Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!
