Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The development team announced the last version of Jallib collection of libraries for the JALv2 compiler and the same time, "her" retirement. But anyone can take the further development if desired. This does not mean that the development of JALv2 compiler won't continue. A big "Thank you!" to the development team of Jallib. The original announcement:
We are glad to announce the availability of: Jallib final release 1.0.0 The packages can be found at the Jallib Google drive. A link to this drive *DOWNLOADS* can be found near the bottom in the left column of the homepage of the Jallib project at Google Code, and at the top of the introduction text. Note: the 'Downloads' tab of that page is deprecated. The standard jallib-pack-2.4q2-1.0.0.zip package contains: - Tested device files for more than 500 Microchip PICmicros. - More than 150 libaries for all kinds of functions, like: + JAL language extensions: formatting, mathematics, etc. + Control of PIC peripherals: ADC, I2C, PWM, USB, Serial, etc. + Control of external devices: LCD, graphic LCD, 7-segment and other LED displays, keyboards, SD memory cards, ATA Harddisk, FAT32, Minix-FS, many sensor types, etc. + different networking protocols: CAN, TCP, UDP, ARP, etc. - For each device file and library there is at least one *tested* relatively simple example program to show the use of the library. And there are more suffisticated samples for several popular PICs. Altogether almostbout 1500 samples programs. - A few 'projects': ready to use programs. - Extensive documentation of all libraries in html format, as well a starters guide and a tutorial in PDF-format. - The latest JalV2 compiler (version 2.4q2) complete with its own documentation. There are two other (smaller) packages available: - jallib-1.0.0.zip the standard package without compiler and tutorials - jallib-all_devices-1.0.0.zip all available device files and blink-a-led samples, including untested files. Major enhancements in Jallib version 1.0.0 compared to 0.9.0: - Tens of new device files based on the most recent datasheets and the latest MPLAB_X version 2.05 (was MPLAB 8.92). - Several new function libaries and sample programs. - Several improvements and bug fixes. - Some more educational simple and interesting advanced example programs. For details see the file CHANGELOG in the download packages. We recommend to use the latest JalV2 Compiler version 2.4q2 because it fixes several issues with older releases and has some new features used by some libraries. Samples and libaries may work only with this compiler version! Have fun and report your experiences with Jallib 1.0.0! The Jallib Team. PS: Because we (the core members of Jallib: Joep, Rob, Seb) consider Jallib as being mature now, we announce our retirement! We stay available for some time to help with the transfer of tasks, responsibilities, ownership, etc, to the next generation of maintainers! ==> Candidates are welcome to apply! --- List of places with information related to JalV2 and Jallib: Jallib project: http://jallib.googlecode.com/ Jallib discussion: http://groups.google.com/group/jallib Jallib team: http://code.google.com/p/jallib/people/list JalV2 compiler: http://www.casadeyork.com/jalv2/ JAL users: http://www.justanotherlanguage.org/ Jallib blog: http://jallib.blogspot.com/ Jal discussion http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jallist/ Jaluino project: http://code.google.com/p/jaluino/ Rob Hamerling - http://www.robh.nl
Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |

Matt is taking the lead:
>>retirement Hi Guys, I am here to take over Seb's work, such as building the package and maintaining build bot. Please accept this as my application. Rob, I don't know what goes into making device files. I hope you can add additional doc and let me know how I may collect each new microchip device file to make upgrading easy. Although I would not be doing so at this time. Matt.
Hobbit name: Togo Toadfoot of Frogmorton Elvish name: Mablung Miriel Beyound Arduino Lang |
