Gday All,

I had a play with the code John Gerrard posted for the maximite to test my MuP I2C multi-bus.

I configured two I2C LCD modules, one for address 20 and the other for address 21 and connected them to MuP using 4 wire headers (Data, Clock, +5, GND) each and modified John's `letsmakerobots.com' code to use the uMite commands then modified it to talk to two different I2C LCD modules.

If anyone is interested here is the test code..

Thanks Vasi,

I was pretty `chuffed' when I saw both LCDs spring to life.. So easy to interface using I2C.

Hi John,

Well thats a long story...

Glad you asked..

My I2C displays were not the same pinout as the ones in your demo but I thought I could convert your code to work as your code had all the bits defined.. However I could get Nothing happening (except blinking of the display indicating that it was receiving data).. I pulled what little hair I had left out of my head, assuming that it was the command codes for clear display/new lines etc etc but could not get anywhere converting them to what I thought would be new figures for my units... in the end a 20 minute job with a soldering iron and a magnifying lens, the same power as something Nasa would use, made mine look like your unit..

The rest was easy..
