Cheap R/A VGA, RCA, and PS2 keyboard connectors I have cheap I/O boards left over from the DuinoMite standard, which have R/A VGA, RCA, and PS2 keyboard connectors, as well as cables. Hmm, Don, you have given me an idea, One of the projects I have ticking around in my `beer sodden brain' is a VT100 `shield' for my MuP board. That seems to be a natural for MuP as `Ascii Video Terminal' has, amongst all of its other features a TTL serial output that will suit MuP. This would most likely use an SSOP or SOIC surface mount to keep the PCB size small, but I havent written off a SDIP either. As MuP is only 43mm x 49mm I dont want a plugin board that is much bigger than that.. The problem I had was that fitting a USB connector, VGA, and Keyboard took a lot of real estate and was difficult to interface well with a case of some sort. I was looking at flying leads like the VGA to 16pin headers on older PCs but this still didnt cater for the PS2 k/b.. If I supported your I/O board then it can be mounted on the case wall and a flying lead to the MuP-VT100 PCB.. not much real estate lost and would really be interesting. How many do you have of these? I wouldnt want to build something that required an add-on board that wasnt available any more. I have 54 Mick. They were retailing at about $7, and I have them down to $1.75 just to get rid of them, as I no longer have a use for them. Re the DuinoMite I/O boards. at the prices I have on them, there is only about $95 involved. For you, free Mick. (Seeing you have been drinking my beer for 35 years.) However, you may wish to use more, in which case you need to see if Tsvetan at Olimex is continuing with them. otherwise, you need an alternative. Besides I'll bet they aren't exactly what you want, so it would pay to design it from the ground floor up to suit your needs. Cheers Don... https://www.dontronics.com |
