Problems with USB Data Logger I recently purchased the USB data logger kit from Altronics featured in SC Dec 2010 – Feb 2012 and it refuses to work correctly. The host program and drivers have been downloaded from the Silicon Chip website and appear to be working correctly. Sample scripts can be run on the host, however when the script is compiled and sent to the logger the blue LED flashes continuously and can only be stopped by disconnecting the USB or removing the batteries. The start/stop pushbutton has no effect. All voltages are correct. Also a number of the sample scripts when run from within the host program bring up errors. Unfortunately the support for this kit appears to be limited. Are any other readers experiencing the same problems? |

There has been some forum activity about this unit. A Google search of the forum may give you some help. Click here |

I had no joy running this data logger on battery, but it performed correctly powered by USB continually. Considered at the time I had constructed incorrectly but feel now it has problems. Suggest you power it up using USB and take from there. We come from the land downunder. Vic |

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't get the unit to work when powered by USB or batteries. There seems to be some inherent problems with the logger. I have contacted SC and will wait on their thoughts, unless anyone else has further ideas? ![]() |
