Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Between four and seven months ago a BSF member posted a link to some training material/manual (for a third party product) on a thread discussing the MicroMite.

I am very keen to find that link and am asking all of you for your help and assistance in tracking it down.

Here are some clues to help identify if it was YOU that posted it:

# It was for training material (or a Manual) for a third party product (possibly software - I think maybe a manual for BASIC)
# It was clearly aimed at beginners in the style it was written
# It was a 'colourful' manual
# I believe it had character drawings included (a bit like the animated 'Staple' in MicroSoft Office)
# The thread was relating to MicroMite in some way so the timing was about 4-7 months ago as it was an 'early' thread here on the BSF
# I have a vague recollection that the product was called something like 'c-blox' (read that carefully!). Not sure what triggered this, but it may help the person remember exactly what it was maybe?

As a 'Thank-You' to the person that identifies the correct link, I will rewarded them with £10 complementary credit at MicroMite.org (i.e. AU$18, US$16, EURO12) to spend on/towards anything they desire.

Thanks for any replies . . . . . .

@grogster - correct; it's BigMick! But more importantly, any ideas about the 'missing' link??

I would not have known it was Mick, if he did not have his mug-shot as his avatar at the moment - I was able to see the similarity.

Sorry about the link - can't help there, but I will be watching......

Nope - not any of those suggested so far.

Let me clarify - it is not about a MicroMite or MaxiMite. It was a link posted on a thread relating to the MicroMite but the link itself was describing a third party product.

From memory it was a User Manual giving fantastically simple examples as to how to use the software/hardware.
I am certain the product was called something like 'c-blox'. I have tried Googling this without joy.

Any more suggestions welcome. . . .

Hi WhiteWizzard

Back on 14 April I posted about “A Prototype Board for raw beginners” ( found again using this text in a search) in which I mentioned a downloaded book with the title “Blast off With Basic” 1991 by Brian R. Page and also the program JBasic or Just Basic (www.justbasic.com) when discussing starting beginners to Basic programming.

Was this what you seek?

Keith.

Hi Bruce,

I think the one you are after is about a product called cubloc - just do a search on this in BSF and you will see a post with a link to the info you are looking for.

Cheers, Doug.

Hi Bo,

Yes it does, I don't feel so old now that I know you are 4 years older than me

Vasi,

Thanks for the wishes, it's all done and dusted now, everyone else here will get one year older before I get another go.
