Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi , would like to let a micromite to control the temperature of my expansive Aqua Tank/fishtank. Any suggestions if micromite/mmbasic is stable enough? May the use of the watchdog give more reliability? THX |

@atmega8 Several members have posted stories here regarding having had their MicroMites running for several months without issues. I personally have many MicroMites around the home doing various things 24/7. I always include a software WatchDog in situations where it is important that the MicroMite keep running. As Plasma says, ensure a good supply; and relevant isolation if required to control mains powered devices. So I really don't see any issue for you using a MicroMite driving your aquatic set-up. There are enough people here to help you out if you need assistance - most of us are friendly enough WW For everything Micromite visit micromite.org Direct Email: whitewizzard@micromite.o |

My coffee machine controller has been running without any problems for a couple of months. The only thing I forgot to do was to set OPTION AUTORUN ON I had the power off briefly and forgot to check that it had started. I will put a slow pulsing LED on it so I can see at a glance that it is working. I have a maximite environmental monitor that has not been touched for 333.5 days so I think that MMBasic is reasonably stable. Jim VK7JH MMedit MMBasic Help |
