The CGMICROBOARD1 is in testing. Getting quotes on volume production.

This is a MicroMite board. Uses the 44 pin '170.

Hi CG
It looks like a 44 pin PIC, the 170? What are U1 and U3? What other interesting bits are on there?

U1 is protection for the USB lines.

U3 is USB to serial.

LED1 is a WS2812B. I need to test it yet.

Can be powered from USB or 9-12V.

Owwwwwww - cute board, CG!

This concept has been mentioned on the forums before - glad that you did decide to do it, cos there are an awful lot of Arduino sheilds out there for various things, so this is a clever way to expand the MicroMite into the Arduino Sheild area of things.

Any idea on costs at this stage?

Working out costs. Looking at parting with some prototypes, too.

Sweet Giz..!

I would be keen for one of the proto's or one of the final release production units... Looks well made..! I like the DFN USB converter.. (nice and small)

Keep us posted on the updates..!

The VT100 could fit on that board with the MicroMite
and Arduino hookup. Then you'd have a hot tamale

Looks really good Rob,

I love the addition of the WS2812B LED, I have some strips coming to play with of these..

I have always liked the concept of the Arduino but it never really took off with `mites, I think now that we have the CFunction facility it may just be good timing for you.

Good Luck mate..

Regards,

Mick

Perhaps a little unpopular here because of the
' whatever negative it was ' with Geoff, but
the DuinoMites seem to do pretty well......

CircuitGizmos, did you layout your board to have the power and USB connectors placed in the same locations as a Arduino so that your board could be mounted into an existing off the shelf Arduino case? That would be really big plus.

Short answer is yes.

Long answer is that the USB connector for the Arduino is a regular 'B' but the board I made is a 'mini B'. The mini B would stick out the same hole.

I don't have a box to try.

Why the 'mini B'? The 'micro B' is much more common.

PM me for more info on this board.

The mini-B was chosen as it matches the CGCOLORMAX2, the CGMMSTICK1, and the CGAWEUSB485 products.
